Highschool Day, Bongga Ka Dzai!!
This day commemorates the school's inception and provides an opportunity for students, teachers, staff, and alumni to gather together to celebrate their common history and accomplishments. In this regard, the theme of Ilocos Sur National High School's 121st Anniversary, "Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to Transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity," suggests that through a renewed sense of commitment, individuals and communities can overcome the odds and reach new heights of excellence and solidarity. Finally, it motivates individuals to strive for greatness in all aspects of their lives, despite the obstacles they may face.
The program began with a thanksgiving mass to allow
individuals to express gratitude for the gifts in their life as well as the
blessings of the school. Following that, awards were given to exceptional
teachers, workers, and retirees to commemorate their contributions to the
school. Attorney Lovely Lazo, the event's sincerely humbled and honored guest
speaker, also offered her inspirational presentation on pushing your
limitations to the fullest and achieving your best in whatever you do.
The program concluded with a field display in which students
demonstrated their abilities in calisthenics, festival, and hip-hop dances.
Mrs. Judeliza M. Refuerzo, the MAPEH Department's Head Teacher VI, closed the
presentation with words of gratitude for the unending support of everyone.
Overall, the event was a success, with Ilocos Sur
National High School carrying the banner of pride and honor. Students,
instructors, staff, and alumni join together to reaffirm the school's ideals,
celebrate outstanding achievements, and remember fantastic memories via a variety
of activities and events. These events not only reinforce the school
community's relationship but also serve as a reminder of the critical role that
education plays in molding the lives of young people.
