National Children’s Month: One Hope, One Purpose On Wednesday, the National Children's Month (NCM) celebration was launched by the Child Protection Unit (CPU) of the Department of Education (DepEd) with discussions on preventing bullying and ensuring children's wellbeing in classrooms. The 30th NCM also intends to meet and improve the mental health of Filipino children through initiatives that address many categories of children's rights, such as acknowledging the severity of mental health issues affecting children prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic. DepEd has also begun its anti-bullying program, which supports community involvement in the defense of children's rights and protection while ensuring the effectiveness of child protection committees.   Newton's Third Law asserts that there is an equal and opposite response to every action. As a result, his statement is very pertinent to current environmental problems we are currently seeing. As a student, I contribute to raising awareness of the need of disaster avoidance in the preservation of our environment. I will advocate for effective solid waste management in order to support The Clean and Green initiative, which aims to guarantee and maintain the environment by involving people in living an environmentally aware life.

     Was our first quarter really that quick? Didn't I observe how time seemed to pass by in a couple of seconds? However, knowing how my ideas were received that it was only a fraction of a second reveals that I was too naïve and hardly recognized that a portion of our school year was completed. That very first stride along the corridor towards my classroom seemed like it was yesterday. But certain thoughts remained in my mind.       I began my first day in class knowing only a few of my classmates. Nothing new here. As I get to know my way, I had experienced a range of emotions. But as the weeks passed, our learnings grew; in comparison to the previous two years of distant learning, I must say today was better. I had admired the skill of education.
